Meister Orthodontics strives to be your choice when you’re looking for high-quality orthodontic care in the St. Paul and Twin Cities areas. We pride ourselves on not just our orthodontic treatments, but our commitment to becoming a trusted and respected member of the entire community as well. We’ve practiced here for over 20 years and we’ve established a bond with the area and its community that we wouldn’t trade for anything. We want to show you why we enjoy it here so much by giving you a few fun family-friendly activities in St. Paul and the Twin Cities this summer.

Visit the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory

One of the most popular stops in the entire state is the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. The zoo and conservatory here feature many exhibits such as the Large Cat exhibit, the Primate Facility, the Japanese Garden, and the North Garden. The Como Park Zoo and Conservatory isn’t just limited to that though, but this site also features Lake Como, an amusement park, a golf course, a pool, and even more. It’s not an exaggeration to say that the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory has something for everyone!

See the Minnesota Children’s Museum

If you’re looking for a family-friendly activity that’s perfect for younger children, then there’s no better option in the area. The mission of the museum is to provide children with “a fun, hands-on, and stimulating environment to explore and discover.” They have galleries to encourage creativity and problem solving, galleries where kids can role play as adults in a child-size environment, and even galleries designed for the toddlers of the family. If your family has a younger child or two, the Minnesota Children’s Museum is definitely worth a visit.

Go to the Minnesota State Fair

The Minnesota State Fair is the biggest fair in the entire United States based on average daily attendance. In total, the fair has nearly two million people attend per year! There are a wide variety of attractions, which include livestock shows, concerts, art exhibitions, comedy shows, and it doesn’t even stop there! One of the primary attractions for the fair is the interesting and delicious selection of food. You’ll find some classic fair food choices like hot dogs and cotton candy and also some that are completely unique like spaghetti-on-a-stick and ‘Pig Lickers.’ The Minnesota State Fair runs for 12 days starting in late August and ending on Labor Day, so if you’re around during that time period, we recommend you check it out.
