Your first appointment at our office will allow us to get to know each other as we determine your oral health, discuss your smile goals, and discover what treatments will be beneficial. Please set aside 60 minutes for this visit to allow enough time for a thorough examination to give us insight into your orthodontic needs and a chance to ask any questions you may have. We know your time is valuable, so in order to expedite treatment, we will address the following points that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment during your visit:
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now, or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are my payment options?
It is important that our patients leave the first visit with a clear understanding of their specific needs, what the treatment will consist of, and how long it will take. We will address any concerns you have and provide answers to any of your questions regarding orthodontic care in Twin Cities.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first visit:
- Any panoramic X-rays that have been taken within the past six months.
- If you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card. By providing this information at the first visit, we will be able to provide you with a cost estimate.
- We will send all necessary paperwork to you in advance. Please complete these fully and return them at your appointment. Doing so will ensure that all of your questions can be fully addressed.
