Dr. Tammy Meister has been in the private practice of orthodontics since
1992. She graduated magna cum laude from Gustavus Adolphus College in
St. Peter, MN, in 1983 with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish.
While at Gustavus, she also studied in Spain.
She completed dental school at the University of Minnesota in 1987, where
she studied as a dental exchange student in Peru for six months. She completed
her one-year General Practice Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center
- Minneapolis. She continued her studies at the University of Minnesota,
where she completed the Master's Program in TMJ and Craniofacial Pain.
Upon completion, she worked five years at the Minnesota Head and Neck
Pain Clinic-Minneapolis, treating temporomandibular pain patients. While
practicing TMJ, she completed her second Master's degree in orthodontics,
graduating in 1992.
Dr. Meister practiced orthodontics as an associate for three years here
on Grand Avenue, Cottage Grove and Eagan. In 1995, she purchased the Grand
Avenue practice and fully remodeled and expanded our facility in 1996.
Unlike many orthodontists, she dedicates her time and talents to one practice.
Dr. Meister is married and has two young children. She lives in the neighborhood
and is active in the community, her church and her children's school.
Dr. Meister is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is
also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists,
Midwest Society of Orthodontists, Minnesota Dental Association, St. Paul
District Dental Society, True North Dental Study Club, Seattle Study Club
and a board member of the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists.
